Tiwa Savage

She’s as singer, songwriter, performer, dancer and actress all rolled in one. Mavin star, Tiwa Savage came third on the January list with 4.9m followers on Instagram, 2.33m on Twitter. Facebook followers are 2,081,333 with 2,073,923 likes. This artist has come a long way and keeps getting more and more popular by the day.



Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid was also on the top 50 list with 4.23 million followers on Twitter 5.5million Instagram followers, 1,905,514 Facebook followers and 1,899,388 likes. Last week he concluded the remix of Didier Drogba’s ‘Joanna,’ with the Ivorian footballer wanting to be featured in the video for the song.



Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, better known as Falz, began his music career in secondary school and shot into limelight with his song ‘Marry Me’. This won him a omination in the ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. His following on Facebook has reached 75,570, 67,039, Twitter 470, 000, and Instagram 3.3m



In January, David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido was one of the four Nigerians on the top 50 entertainers on the African Social Media Power Report, a spot he has maintained into the second half of the year. He has 3.92million followers on Twitter.  On his Facebook page, @davidoofficial2, he has 3,856,392 followers and 3,856,571 likes while his Instagram account has 6.9 million followers.


Yemi Alade

This Afropop singer and songwriter, Yemi Eberechi Alade is simply known as Yemi Alade. She gained prominence since winning the ‘Peak Talent Show’ in 2009. Best known for her hit single, ‘Johnny’, her Facebook followers has reached 1,767,198, likes 1,755,533; twitter followers and Instagram 291k and 3.9m respectively.



This talented singer’s career was propelled when she was nominated for Best Urban/R&B award at the 2008 Beat Music Awards for her first single, ‘Rock Steady’. She also won the Best New Artist Award at the 2008 Beat Music Awards. Now she had a following of 1.2m on Instagram, 53,450, 53,438 on Facebook and 203, 000 on Twitter.



She is an Afropop singer and songwriter who began her journey into mainstream music in 2014. Her 2017 album, ‘Simisola’, hit the Billboard World Music charts at number five, debuted at number one on both the Apple Music and iTunes chart for three weeks. She has a huge following on social media: 2m Instagram, 389, 000 Twitter, 75,216 Facebook followers and 73,902 likes.
