Despite the crash of the plane that was conveying the body of the late governor of Ondo state, late Dr Olusegun Kokumo Agagu to him home land in Akure, Ondo State which claimed the lives of 17 people yesterday morning at the domestic wing of the MMIA, the family of the deceased have gone ahead to continue their planned internment of the late governor today, friday 4th October.
The family sympathises with the families of those that lost their loved ones in the ill fated plane but has no plans for a recourse on the burial plans. Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Ebenezer Alabi, said: “We just consulted with the family and have decided to go ahead with the burial”. The wife of the late governor insisted for the burial as planned today since the son of the late governor, his brother in-law survived in the crash and the casket was intact. Though the managing director of MIC funeral services, Mr. Tunji Okusanya and his son who was supposedly the heir apparent lost their lives in the plane crash and so also the son of Chief Olu Falea. It was gathered that the casket was later transported by road to his home town after the crash and the Christian wake-keep was held yesterday as scheduled.
We, at diamond celebrities sympathises with the families of the departed and pray that God grant them eternal rest.
Bringing you more update.
