SAYING FAREWELL TO THE RAINY SEASON IN AN UNFORGETTABLE WAY

Lagosians woke up early this morning to vociferous torrents of rain that flooded their homes and destroyed many valuables in their homes. The rain which started by some few minutes to four in the early morning rained cats and dogs, it was as if God opened his window today to wet the land.

Many roads were floored causing heavy traffic gridlock on the roads and many residents could be seen scooping buckets full of water out of their homes/apartment while some had to resort to water pumping machine to drain out the water from their homes. The Lagos State Environment and flood control units had in the previous months sound a warning to citizens living in the riverine areas to evacuate their homes due to the heavy flood that would be witnessed in the raining season. Well, this could be the last days of the raining season and it’s doing so in a memorable way.
