A Nigerian beauty Precious Okeke was crowned the new Miss Black Africa UK 2013. The Grand Final took place on the 5th of October 2013, at Royal Regency Hall London. The 21-year-old Nigerian model stated that her mandate is to work towards eradicating child labour and poverty. She was crowned by her predecessor, Samaia Tchapesseka from Angola. The first and second runners up were Alexina Phiri and Sonia Ike respectively.
Nollywood multi-Award winning actress and producer Ini Edo was one of the judges, alongside Multi Award winning Fashion Designer Adebayo Jones often referred to as the Godfather of African Fashion, Jenni Steele, Sporah Njau and Chris Zang.
A Uganda born London-based Nurse,business woman and Nollywood lover Princess Florence Toya was also among the special guest of honor.
Also meet 24 of the 30 finalists that competed for the title of Miss Black Africa UK 2013. The 30 beauties hailing from 17 African countries including Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Malawi, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cape Verde, Ghana, Congo, South Africa and Senegal are in the finals of the Miss Black Africa UK beauty pageant which took place on the 5th of October 2013 at the Royal Regency Hall, London.
