DC Exclusive: TONY ONEWEEK RECEIVES NOLLYWOOD AMBASSADDOR AWARD

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos chapter under the leadership of Actor Victor Osuagwu has awarded Hon Tony Oneweek the AMBASSADDOR of NOLLYWOOD.

This is in recognition of his immense contributions to the growth of Nollywood, especially as the very first Actor, Producer, writer and Director to be elected into the Legislature in the history of Nigeria.

Talking to Diamond Celebrities, Honorable Tony expressed his joy, and appreciation for being recognized for his immense contributions in Nollywood.

This is an excerpt from Tony’s interview with Don Saint…

“I feel so grateful to God almighty. I am thankful to my colleagues for this honour. I made history by God’s mercy becoming the first entertainer to win a nationally conducted election. I guess I deserve a national award. Perhaps if I were an hausa or Yoruba man, I would have since been so honoured. I won’t lobby for it. God is honouring me everyday. Thanks again to Victor Osuagwu and co. The sky is our limit in Nollywood.”
