STUDENT DIES IN WALL COLLAPSE IN OGUN STATE

A tragic event occurred yesterday at the Ketu/Adiye –Owe Local Government Primary School in Ado Odo/Ota LGA of Ogun state when one of the classrooms wall collapsed on the pupils leaving one dead and others critically injured.
The incident which was caused by a windstorm occurred by 11:45am yesterday morning when the pupils were on break. Eight years old Quayum Badrudeen died on the spot while four other girls are currently on admission at the state hospital, Sango Ota where they are being treated.
It was gathered that the Ado –Odo/Ota LGA Chairman , Mr Rotimi Rahaman had to abort his trip to Abeokuta on the hearing of the incident and he rushed to the school with two detached ambulances and a medical team of the council to personally evacuate the victims from the scene of the accident to the state hospital for adequate treatment. While the body of the Quayum Badrudeen has been released to his parents for burial.
