Because of our readers demand to know how a woman should get her post baby body back we contacted 3G mums who were able to shed their baby pounds and get back to their old shape. 3G mums did not only prove how possible it is to regain your post baby body after pregnancy but also reveal their secrets through their easy cook book.
We don’t give in to the stereotypes of what moms should look like. 3G MOMS live life in abundance and in every season. Postpartum
Yay!!! Celebrations! Celebrations! Baby is here!!! Yay, everyone is happy for the Blessing. Celebrations! Joy is swelling in our hearts. Celebrations! The newborn baby is getting all the attention and that’s perfectly alright…Then one day, all the hooray-hooray slowly begins to fade and you decide to think about yourself for a minute. You dare to look in the mirror; What do you see??I see many many friends, family, acquaintances who are undergoing this dilemma of losing weight and regain their pre-pregnancy shape (or at least some of it). We prayed for those precious little Angels to come into our lives and expand our family structure and we believed we were ‘ready’ to embrace the changes, but as Nature intended, a good portion of our bodies must undergo some measure of ‘siege’ during pregnancy as well as some level of waistline expansion. The “Before”

My movement was limited and I did my part to obey my body; at least I thought so, until my midwife advised me to “slow down” because I started bleeding (a sign that I was pushing my body harder than it was ready to handle). Taking my midwife’s advice, I withdrew my urges to dance haha! I avoided stairs and any strenuous duties but I also thought I just couldn’t “sit there”. I applied restraint and decided to just observe what my body ALLOWED me to do. It wasn’t long before I realized that I was allowed to STRETCH. Once I got that “permission slip” from my body, I used that opportunity to indulge in YOGA, a practice I fell in love with over a decade ago.
I hereby urge and encourage anyone who wishes to ease back into shape after delivery or simply getting back to working out after a long time to give YOGA a try:
- Start doing Mountain pose with ease-and-flow
- Practice Open-Heart Salutation with grace
- Let yourself go with Child’s pose
- Slowly and carefully surrender into Cobra pose
- Take nice, deep, cleansing breaths, and the more breaths you take into your lungs, the more energy you summoned.
As time went by, my body slowly embraced higher level different poses and so will yours if you don’t give up:
- Marichi’s pose
- Yoga-boat pose
- Triangle pose
- Bow pose
- Plank pose
- King-Dancer pose…
Recently, I am delighting myself with
- Wheel pose,
- Standing-Forward Bend,
- Side-Plank
- Impressive Camel and
- Warrior poses.
Sooner than I realized, I could dance to my favorite tunes and really enjoy myself pain-free.

All I am pointing out here is that you may need to give yourself some breathing room and figure out what your body will ALLOW you to do but do not end there! Our cells, organs and muscles are more intelligent than we give them credit. COMMUNICATE with your body and ask it to guide, help you go past your blockages and lead you through that process of HEALING. It’s a process…
Give one of the above Yoga poses a try and while you’re at it, keep testing your limits, push yourself and you will be amazed how soon you get out of your comfort zone. Be willing to try new things, be open and don’t hesitate to celebrate each milestone. Congratulations Beautiful YOU!!!

I’ll end my post with one of the quotes that sparked something in me while I was still pregnant and after childbirth.
By Marianne Williamson:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
