MAN KILL FRIEND OVER AFFAIR WITH WIFE

One Wasiu Yusuf who allegedly stabbed his bosom friend, Adeolu Olatoye (32yrs), to death for having a romantic relationship with his wife has been arrested by the police in Osun State Police Command.
It was gathered that the incident took place on Saturday night at Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta. It was reported that the carried out the act in accomplice with one Mukaila who is on the run at the time of filing this report. It was further gathered that the suspect lost his cool when he got home and caught his friend and his wife in their matrimonial bed. According the explanation of the, he (suspect) laid siege for the deceased who reportedly came to his house and in the ensuing scuffle, the victim erroneously stabbed himself.

But another version of the story has it that the victim had gone to the house of the suspect to drop an invitation card for him of the 80th birthday of his mother scheduled for Saturday when the friend attacked him with a bottle. Adeolu was a graphic artiste and had met his untimely death barely a week after celebrating his child’s naming ceremony. His elder’s brother, Mr Akinyemi Olatoye expressed shock that his brother had actually died having informed him that he was going to his friend’s place (suspect) to drop the invitation card for their mother’s birthday celebration. His corpse had been deposited at the Ijaiye mortuary in Abeokuta while the police are investigating the case.
