RETIRED CUSTOM OFFICER CRUSHED TO DEATH ON HIS WAY TO COLLECT HIS PENSION

Akeem Adeoye, a commercial tricycle rider has been arraigned before an Ebutte Meta Magistrate court for the killing of a 50 years old retired custom officer, Nurudeen Yekini, whom he allegedly pushed to the path where he was crushed to death by a speeding truck on the 20th of January 2014 by 10am. It was learnt that the late custom officer was on his way to receive his pension after 35 years in service, when his vehicle had an accident with the tricycle, popularly known as KEKE NAPEP, at Marwa Road, in the Ijegun area of Lagos.

A heated argument ensued between the late Yekini and the tricycle rider and it was learnt that the custom officer pulled off his belt to hit the tricycle rider in which he pushed him (Mr Yekini) to the path of an oncoming speeding truck which crushed him to death.
