Photos: Meet The Sound Of Music Family 45 Years Later

The movie ‘Sound of Music’ is undeniably one of the most popular films to hit out TV screen, with millions of fans all over the world tagging it their favourite.

The American musical film released in 1965 was directed and produced by Robert Wise and starred Julie Andrews who played the main character ‘Maria’, and Christopher Plummer who played the role of a captain with a large family and no wife, who later fell in love with ‘Maria’.

‘Sound of Music’ was based on a book called ‘The Story of the Trapp Family Singers’ written by Maria von Trapp, which is about a young woman who leaves an Austrian convent to become a governess to the seven children of a naval officer widower.
