DSS, Police invade Glass House

The secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was  like a battle ground yesterday, when reinstated President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari  returned to the Glass House at exactly 11.30 am in convoy of seven cars fully armed.

Before Maigari’s arrival, other board  members, Chief Mike Umeh, Deji Tinubu, Shehu Adamu and Chief Rumson Baribote, were sited inside the president’s office.

However, a detachment of security  personnel from the Department of State Security (DSS) and Nigeria Police had stormed the secretariat in the early hours of yesterday  in Hilux vans.

The situation became tensed when Maigari’s convoy arrived in company of two board members, Ahmed Kawu and Ahmed Yusuf, some state FA chairmen, the Super Eagles chief security officer, ACP Abubakar A Baba led the convoy, Chairman of NFF Appeals Committee, Barrister Eddy Mark and the General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu.

Maigari met the board members inside his office and  exchanged pleasantries with them. He, however,  attended to some files already on  his table without any interference.

Later,  other board members  like Emeka Inyama,Barrister Leye Adepoju  and seven state FA chairmen paid  homage to Maigari.
Meanwhile, there was mixed  reaction from members of staff over Maigari’s resumption. While others rejoiced, others wore long look  due to the fear of uncertainty about their job.
