Tracy Morgan Facing ‘Tough’ Recovery After Accident

Tracy Morgan may be on the mend after suffering serious injuries from a major car crash earlier this year, but the comedian is far from fully recovered, according to his attorney.

“He’s really having a tough time,” his New York lawyer Benedict P. Morelli tells People.com, adding that he has been “struggling” to walk again and uses a wheelchair full time. “He’s making incremental progress,” says Morelli. “But they’ll have to wait another month before they assess him cognitively.”

Having suffered traumatic brain injuries, a broken leg and several fractures to his face, Morgan continues to undergo at-home therapy following his release from a rehabilitation facility in mid-July.

Morgan is suing the Walmart corporation for its involvement in the June crash, caused by a driver for the megastore. The six-vehicle wreck resulted in serious injuries to Morgan and the death of his pal James McNair.
