Boko Haram Kidnaps 50 Women, Undisclosed Number of Children

Locals of Michika and Gulak  of Adamawa state  raised alarm Monday over  the  abduction of over 50 women and undisclosed number of children  by  Boko Haram insurgents  in  the area.

A source  in Husra village in Michika Local Government Area, who identified himself as Mallam Musa Yaro –Uba also disclosed that able bodied young men have  been conscripted by the Boko Haram insurgents.

He said the sect conducted several preaching sessions to convert and recruit new members into the sect before taking them.

“ The insurgents conducted preaching sessions to attract converts to their sect but people only listened out of fear. The  next day they asked if anybody wanted to join them but there was no response, so they selected many healthy looking young men and asked them to go with them. One of the victims is my relative who did body building exercise regularly, he stated.

Musa reported that there are hundreds of people,  including women and children across Northern Adamawa State still languishing in the custody of the insurgents.
