A 65-year-old woman has reportedly committed suicide by throwing herself into a pool filled with crocodiles.
Wanpen Injai was ripped apart by dozens of the reptiles after jumping into the pond at a zoo in Bangkok, Thailand.
Moments before she was eaten someone took a picture of her in the water with one of the crocodiles clearly visible nearby.
CCTV footage also showed the woman removing her shoes before plunging into the pit at the Samut Prakam Crocodile Farm and Zoo.
It is believed she accessed the pool after breaching a security fence from a nearby walkway.
Zoo keepers battled to keep the reptiles from feasting on her body after she leapt into the water.
Ms Injai’s sister Suban Tharmna told the Bangkok Post she had not spoken to anyone in the family for several days before the incident.
Her healthcare card was found floating in the water and her identity was eventually confirmed with DNA tests.
The zoo, founded in 1950, claims to have more than 100,000 crocodiles over its 300 acres and claims to be the world’s largest crocodile farm.
Around 1,000 of the creatures are believed to have been in the pool Ms Injai jumped inside.
