Pregnant bride-to-be dies in accident 2 weeks to wedding

A four-month pregnant lady, Dolapo Salawu (25), who was preparing for her wedding slated for October 2014 lost her life on Tuesday when the driver of a petrol tanker lost control and crushed her where she stood with her fiancé by the roadside at L. Adisa area, along Ibadan-Oyo expressway, Oyo State.

The driver of another diesel tanker, with which the petrol tanker collided, also lost his life as his head and hands were severed as a result of the serious impact of the accident.

Her husband-to-be was reported to have jumped to safety while the driver of the petrol tanker was seriously injured.

According to reports, the accident was caused by a commercial Nissan Micra car which stopped to pick passengers by the road side and went back on the road without taking a glance at his mirror for oncoming vehicles…
