Woman shot dead outside Arsenal’s Emirates stadium in London

A woman has reportedly been shot dead outside the Arsenal football stadium in London yesterday.

Scotland yard confirmed a 38-year-old man was arrested after responding to a firearms incident near the Emirates stadium in north London.

Paramedics discovered a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound, however despite their best efforts they were unable to save her and she died at the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ‘At this early stage it is believed the arrested man and the woman are known to each other.’

The shooting took place hours before the a game between Arsenal and Burnley.
