President and Founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife, Ruth, and seven others, including two other BFMI pastors, were killed in a plane crash in Freeport, Grand Bahama yesterday evening, officials confirmed.
Police and civil aviation officials said that the private jet they were travelling in struck a construction crane on approach to Grand Bahama International Airport on Sunday and crashed, killing all nine people aboard, including the leader of the Bahamas Faith Ministries.
Myles Munroe was also accompanied by his Bahamas Faith Ministries deputy, Richard Pinder, another pastor and his family, sources said.
The Bahamas Faith Ministries is among the largest religious congregations in the island chain, with thousands of worshippers, and Munroe was a well-known author, leadership consultant and frequent visitor to various African countries, including Nigeria.
