Man Stabs Neighbour to Death In Lagos

A man in Lagos woke up possessed with rage which led to the stabbing of his wife and three other neighbours killing one in the process.

Sunday Mittenho, a dry cleaner by profession, woke up at about 1.am last Sunday, November 9 and completely went mad in rage. His stunned wife tried stopping him from leaving the house after he stripped himself naked.

Apparently possessed by some sort of rage, Sunday stabbed his wife twice as she tried stopping him from leaving the house unclad. Neighbours at their residence at 20, Oshinfowokan Street, Ehin-Iga are of Itire, Surulere, Lagos also joined in attempting to tame the wild man.

Sunday also stabbed three of them leaving one Sunday George dead with multiple knife wounds to the chest and stomach.

Sunday Mittenho’s wife narrowly escaped death and is now receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. Two other stabbed neighbours are also receiving treatment at undisclosed hospitals following injuries they sustained during the incident.

It was the intervention of the Vigilante group in the area that stopped the bloodshed as they apprehended the possessed man and handed him over to the police.
