Julius Agwu mocks artistes following politicians, blames it on hunger in Nigeria

Popular stand up comedian, Julius Agwu, is in the news again for posting a statement on Twitter that seemed to mock Nigerian entertainers that have joined campaigns of candidates participating in the coming elections.

Agwu had tweeted, “I do not blame my entertainment ‘colleagues’ who want to grab what they can from Abuja because there is hunger in the land.”

The comedian finished off the statement by advising to his so-called colleagues to bear in mind that their present actions would determine their future.

He wrote, “But while you are at it, do ponder on this: #The Future depends on what youdotoday.”

Although the comedian did not mention names, it is clear that his statement is addressed to a section of the Nigerian entertainment industry known for warming up to members of the political class for pecuniary gains.
