At about 10:30 am on 28th March 2015, there were confirmed evidence that the original result sheets at various polling units were not shown to the electorates as required by the law. Following the incident ,the INEC workers were showing fake result sheets, giving room to youth disturbances, including hijacks of election materials.
Consequently the caretaker Chairman of Ahoada East local Government, after confirming with the electoral officer of unit 02 of ward 2 mounted pressure that the election must be shifted on the basis that election materials ,results sheets were not in place ,for instance ward 9 and 10 in abual LGA (emelago)were conducted at okolamadi as ordered by Hon Ogiri ,on this we were duly informed by the Labour Party agents ,in ward 11 and ward 12 that there was no materials for people to exercise their franchise .
In ward 1 ogbema also in Abual, election materials were destroyed and some were taken away to unknown destination .We write to inform the general public of these irregularities, believing that Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission will look into this Matter and rectify it respectively, especially that of the Federal House of Representatives , Abua,Odual/Ahoada East constituency .
