Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars actor Sir Christopher Lee has died

The Lord Of The Rings star reportedly passed away in London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Sunday after suffering respiratory problems. He was 93 years old.

Reports say that the decision to break the news of his death days later was due to his wife wanting to inform family members first.

Lee inhabited many iconic film roles throughout his career, including Count Dracula, Count Dooku in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Saruman in the Lord Of The Rings and more recently The Hobbit series.

The veteran actor also appeared in The Wicker Man in the 70s and played Bond villain Scaramanga opposite Roger Moore in The Man with The Golden Gun.
