Two pilots have reportedly been fired for allowing a model to sit in the cockpit with them, and even take control of flying the passenger flight. The woman, Vicky Xipolitakis, shared the photos with her 405,000 followers on Twitter.
In the photos, the trio looks like they’re having a great time — smiling widely as they pose in the cockpit. The problem is that one of the photos was clearly taken while the plane was in-flight, a fact that didn’t impress airline management.
Mariano Recalde is the president of Aerolineas Argentinas and told the local news that the pilots in-air selfies put other lives at risk. “As soon as we became aware of the situation, we dismissed the pilots,” said Recalde. “They are two irresponsible people.”
Passenger Victoria Xipolitakis, 29, documented the event with a number of selfies with the men, which she uploaded to Twitter after her flight from Buenos Aires to Rosario in central Argentina.
She was allegedly allowed to remain in the cockpit for the entirety of the journey, including landing, and even boasted she was allowed to fly the plane.
