Hulk Hogan reveals he thought about suicide, denies being racist and asks for forgiveness

Hulk Hogan has denied being racist and begged his fans for forgiveness.

The disgraced wresting star, who was fired from WWE after admitting using the n-word, has opened up in a new interview on Good Morning America, in which he also revealed he considered killing himself after the fallout.

“Oh, my gosh. Please forgive me. Please forgive me,” he said. “I think if you look at the whole picture of who Hulk Hogan is, you can see over all the years that there’s not a racist bone in my body.

“I’m not a racist but I never should have said what I said. It was wrong. I’m embarrassed by it,” he went on.

“People need to realise that you inherit things from your environment. And where I grew up was south Tampa, Port Tampa, and it was a really rough neighborhood, very low income. And all my friends, we greeted each other saying that word.”

The 62-year-old star made the racist slur during an angry rant about his daughter Brooke’s ex-boyfriend during a recorded sex session which was later leaked.

Hulk went on to admit he had suicidal thoughts after it was revealed he had used the n-word, explaining: “I was to the point where I wanted to kill myself, you know?”

He recalled how he sat alone in his bathroom after his estranged wife and children had left him.

“I was completely broken and destroyed and said, ‘What’s the easiest way out of this?’ I mean, I was lost,” he said.

Asked whether he was suicidal, Hulk replied, “Yes, I was.”
