Husband guilty of pushing wife to her death from cliff to claim life insurance (Photos)

A man has been found guilty of killing his wife by pushing her off a cliff during an anniversary walk.

Harold Henthorn murdered wife Toni three years ago to cash in on her £2.9million life insurance.

The 59-year-old was convicted of first-degree murder on Monday following a trial in Denver, Colorado.

Mrs Henthorn plummeted 120 feet to her death in Rocky Mountain National Park in September 2012, while the couple were celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary.

Jurors also heard from prosecutors during the two-week trial in US District Court in Denver who said Henthorn also killed his first wife 20 years ago, although he has not been charged in that case.

Henthorn faces mandatory life in prison without the possibility of parole when he is sentenced on the federal conviction on December 8.
