Mum who ‘threw baby to death from window’ screams ‘Help me!’ as she appears in court

A mother accused of throwing her baby daughter to her death from a sixth-floor window pleaded for help as she appeared in court over the killing, it was reported.

Tenisha Fearon reportedly screamed “Oh God. Oh God. Jesus, man. Help me. Help me. Oh, God” as she was led away, according to the Daily News.

The 27-year-old is accused of killing six-month-old Junilah Lawrence after hurling her from a window at her apartment in the Bronx, New York.

She is believed to have been suffering from a ‘psychotic episode’ when the incident happened at around 1.30pm on October 15.

Results of a psychiatric exam to determine if Fearon is fit to stand trial will not be ready for another three weeks, the Daily News reported.

Horrified neighbours claim Fearon dangled her daughter out of the window before hurling her into the air.

Relatives told reporters the mother allegedly said “the devil was in her”.

Emergency workers found the baby on the pavement below and she was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital but died from her injuries an hour later.

Fearon, 27, was reportedly taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital for mental evaluation.

Fearon’s three older children – a 10-year-old boy and two girls, ages 4 and 8 – were in the apartment at the time but none were harmed, police said.
