Lamar Odom ‘walks unaided for first time’ as his recovery continues

Lamar Odom has walked unaided for the first time since his brothel collapse, according to reports.

The 36-year-old basketball player is continuing to recover in a Los Angeles hospital after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October.

However his recovery saw a dramatic improvement this week as he reportedly surprised doctors by taking three steps without his walker.

According to TMZ, Lamar’s brain function is also improving and he was able to recognise a staff member.

This is a significant improvement as Lamar recently had trouble remembering his own name.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: “He’s not doing great. His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names – sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”

Lamar is being supported by his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian – who put their divorce on hold in order to continue making medical decisions for him – and her family.
