R Kelly walked out of an interview with HuffPost Live on Monday after being asked about his history of alleged sexual misconduct.

The Ignition star was there to promote his new album The Buffet, but after some questions about his past from host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani he refused to answer anymore and left the studio.

The singer became irritated when Caroline claimed many fans found it difficult not to think of Kelly’s past allegations of “having inappropriate relations with minors”.

Accusing the TV host of trying to get something “juicy” he was clearly annoyed by the line of questioning.

“If you don’t get something juicy, then your television show is gonna be get cut off … I understand you have to do your job,” he said.

Not letting it go, she continued to confront the star about his sexual assault history, which caused him to start rambling about the host’s “negativity”.

“I didn’t come here for negative. I came here for positive,” he said. “I don’t give people that’s negative towards me the time of day … When you start getting negativity coming at you, you pretty much don’t wanna hear that crap. Especially if it was, what, I don’t know how many years ago. So what I’m gonna tell you is that I am going to sit here and talk gonna talk to you like the beautiful lady you are and I’m gonna talk to you with respect but I’m gonna let you know that any other negative things come at me out of your mouth, as far as negativity.

He continued: “I’m gonna get up and walk out and I’m gonna go to McDonald’s. Hopefully, the McRib is out and I’m going to go home to Chicago, play me some basketball, go to the studio and work on my next album.”

After 16 minutes the star got up and removed his microphone, declaring “this interview is over”.

Kelly was acquitted in 2008 in the trial accusing him of filming sex with a 13-year-old.

Prosecutors spent more than six years building a case against the singer, who was acquitted by a jury of all 14 charges in just a few hours.
