Miss Universe winner Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has shunned calls for her to share her crown with Miss Colombia, admitting it would be too “difficult”.
The brunette beauty appeared on Good Morning America this week, as she opened up about the controversial final – which saw Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez wrongfully crowned the winner by host Steve Harvey, before he was forced to correct himself.

And while Pia wished her fellow contestant well, she admitted sharing the crown would be hard to do.
“I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share a crown,” she said on the show.
“But I have high hopes that this will give great opportunities for me and Miss Colombia and the rest of the contestants.”

Revealing she has spoken to Ariadna since the pageant, she added that she “seems like she’s okay.”
“I understand how she feels,” she said, “I know that she’s a beautiful young lady – very talented. I think that she’ll have a lot of other opportunities.”
Pia also admitted Steve Harvey should return as host next year, calling him a “breath of fresh air.”
“He made us feel very relaxed, the contestants,” she said. “It makes us show our personalities a little bit more. I think that benefits everybody, especially the viewers.”
