Augsburg Mayor, vice Mayor Eve Wiber, Minister of work and culture Emila Müller, members of Parliament and distinguished career diplomat, gathered on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, to celebrate emigrate women, who left their home because of war and political issues and now live in Germany in search of greener pastures.

Nigerian dancer Esther Völk was among the 13 women whose picture were showcased as a role model to other emigrant women in Germany.
Teachers, nurses and more, who are Germany immigrants,  spoke on their life experiences in their countries, the difficulties they faced as emigrants in Germany and how they overcome the huddles.
They also commend the love and helpful hands they received from some Germans.
