Barack Obama has tweeted a special greeting to Cubans after touching down in Havana, becoming the first serving US president to set foot on the island for 88 years.
He arrived on Sunday afternoon with his wife and kids to find Havana buzzing with excitement and spruced up for the occasion.
After landing he posted the tweet ¿Que bolá Cuba? which translates as ‘What’s up Cuba?’

His historic visit marks another huge improvement in relations between the countries after decades of being bitter enemies.
His three-day visit will include a meeting with Cuba’s president Raúl Castro, 84. Mr Obama is also set to address the Cuban people and speak to those who risk the wrath of the authorities by opposing the Communist dictatorship.
