When it comes to the busy scrum of international airports, this is probably the most unusual plane passenger you’d expect to see…

The mummified corpse isn’t a strange archaeological item, though – it’s a film prop.

The mummy came from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie and was going through security at Atlanta International Airport.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) shared the amusing shots on its Instagram account.

And it obviously captured the imagination of many, as it quickly ramped up thousands of likes.

The caption read: “Talk about deadheading… This crusty ol’ chap is actually a prop from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie .

“He was brought through a checkpoint at the Atlanta International Airport, where as you can see, he was screened and sent on his jolly way.”
