Lamar Odom vows to stay clean for estranged wife Khloe Kardashian

Lamar Odom has vowed to stay clean for ex Khloe Kardashian after his devastating brothel collapse last year which left him fighting for his life.

The former basketball star , who is getting divorced from the reality star, appears in the latest trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, insisting he’s stopped taking drugs for good.

In a conversation with Scott Disick, he said: “I can’t really take the risk. I can’t do that to that girl [Khloe] again, man.”

The pair’s talk got emotional and Scott recalled going to see Lamar in hospital after his near-fatal overdose, telling him: “I was super scared when I came and saw you in the hospital, do you remember it?

“I couldn’t handle it, I left. I was like, ‘I can’t see this man like this. I just felt like you were dying to talk, but you couldn’t and you didn’t know what to do.”

Lamar, who was supported by the entire Kardashian Klan throughout his recovery, said he felt “trapped” in his body and that he couldn’t even say “excuse me” or “thank you”.

Meanwhile, Khloe’s family are happy she has filed for divorce from Lamar.

The 31-year-old beauty called off her divorce from the 36-year-old sportsman last year in order to help him recover, but has now filed the papers again.

A source told PEOPLE: “Everyone in her family is happy that she is moving on. She has all the support possible.”

Khloe is also “at peace” with her decision, and although she was happy to provide emotional and financial support for Lamar following his collapse, she wants to focus on her own life.
