Sports Minister, Dalung met with fraudsters, not us – Avengers

Niger Delta Avengers has dismissed claims by Youth and Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, saying he made contact with the group recently.

Dalung had on July 15 claimed that he held talks with leadership of the resurgent militant group during a two-hour journey on the sea to Oporoza in Gbaramatu kingdom in Delta state.

The Minister also added that he was given a sealed hand-written letter to President Muhammadu Buhari.

But the rampaging militant group in a statement by its spokespersom, Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibo insisted that the Minister met with fraudsters.

According to their spokesperson, Brig. Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, ‘Niger Delta fraudsters’ defrauded the Minister.

The group said, “Niger Delta Avengers can’t stoop so low to send representatives to meet with a common Minister of youths that doesn’t know his work. Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung has been defrauded and played by Niger Delta Fraudsters. He didn’t have any meeting with us (Niger Delta Avengers).

“Lets make this clear, any meeting with Niger Delta Avengers that the International communities are not part to witness, we (Niger Delta Avengers) will not be part of any such dialogue as well.”
