Lai Mohammed, minister of information, on Monday said the new video released by the Boko Haram brought back the consciousness of Chibok schoolgirls, saying many people will move on as soon as the effect of the video is over.
Speaking at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday, Mohammed said the rescue of the girls has been a priority to the current administration.
He said that unlike those who resumed discussions about the victims after the footage went into circulation, the office of the national security adviser had been doing its best to ensure that the girls are reunited with their parents.
“Most people will forget the issue of these girls as soon as the effect of this video is over but the government is daily working on it,” he said.
