This is the moment kindly neighbours in Easton, Bristol, formed a human chain around a mum’s house to stop her being kicked out in an alleged “revenge eviction”.
Nimo Abdullahi, 39, said her family were being evicted from their home of 12 years due to a dispute with the landlord.
Around 30 residents and campaigners gathered outside the privately rented property in Bristol and joined arms to form a human wall.

Nimo’s landlord dismissed suggestions the eviction had anything to do with revenge.
The mum-of-five claimed she had been repeatedly threatened with being kicked out after approaching the landlord with complaints about damp.
She said: “It has a big problem with damp. This is bad for us, because my children have asthma and it is not a good place.”

The blockade was kept well fed by a newlywed couple living opposite the family – who provided their wedding cake as sustenance.
Nimo is currently being helped by Acorn, a local grassroots movement which fights for renters’ rights.
A spokesman for Acorn said despite their efforts, Nimo was eventually evicted and is now being looked after in emergency sheltered accommodation.
