According to E! News, the former Los Angeles Lakers player recently admitted himself into rehab in San Diego, Calif.

“It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life,” a source shared with E! News. “He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety.”

The decision comes more than a year after the former NBA player experienced a near-fatal overdose in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Kanye West is back in the Big Apple amid speculation that the rapper could be returning to the stage in a matter of weeks.

In pictures obtained exclusively by E! News, Kanye was spotted arriving in New York City Monday morning after flying with Kris Jenner’s boyfriend Corey Gamble.
