A woman who tweeted asking if someone would be ‘kind enough’ to assassinate Donald Trump is being investigated by the Secret Service.

Heather Lowrey posted the tweet on January 17, the day after Martin Luther King Jr Day and three days before Trump’s inauguration.

The 26-year-old, from Louisville, Kentucky, asked: “If someone was cruel enough to assassinate MLK, maybe someone will be kind enough to assassinate Trump. #bekind #trump #lovetrumpshate.”

The tweet was later deleted and Lowrey’s Twitter account vanished, the New York Daily News reported.

The Secret Service confirmed that Lowrey was interviewed by officers and the incident is still under investigation although no charges have been announced as yet.

An agent told the Courier-Journal: “Any time threatening communications like that are made, we always conduct an investigation.”

Lowrey’s former employers were quick to distance themselves from her.
