
U.S president, Mr Donald Trump, has stated that he won’t allow the killing of Christians to continue in the world.
Mr Trump made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter page.
“Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!” he tweeted.
He made the statement on the background that the US needs a stronger border and extreme vetting. He described happenings in the world as horrible.
“Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world – a horrible mess!” he stated.
Minority Christians have been victims of attacks in Syria and Iraq by the Islamic State since its insurgency started.
But Christians in Egypt and Pakistan have also been reportedly targeted by extremists.
Trump’s tweet was retweeted more that 25,000 times and liked by over 88,000 users in less than four hours.
Recall that Trump had approved some executive orders that include visa denial for citizens of Syria and six other middle eastern and African countries.
