After Veteran Musician, 2face Idibia declared the protest cancelled, the masses still decide to fearlessly carry out the plan.
At forefront was Nollywood director Dickson Iroegbu, who took the lead to make the voice of the people heard. The hardworking filmmaker and Ambassador also took to his Facebook to declare his reason for joining the protest:
” Today we gathered in Abuja peacefully – @TheUnityFoubtainBy9am, from where we matched down to the gates of the Villa, and there the people spoke their minds. No one was paid or coaxed. THE POLICE WAS CIVIL. I was there physically as a Co-Convener to support the call for a massive protest against the “Acute Hunger In The Land” inflicted on both the rich and the poor nationwide by an inept government – Our voices have been heard!
The fear inflicted on the masses have been defe…ated. SOLIDARITY FOREVER!
