
Boxing champion, Anthony Joshua is to have a stadium and street named after him in Ogun state, Nigeria to honour his victory over two-time world champion, Wladimir Klitschko.
The 27-year-old victory has not only earned him a whopping amount of £15m but also having a stadium and cinema street named after him.
According to ESPN , the majority leader of the State House of Assembly in the Ogun State Yinka Mafe vowed to ensure that the Sagamu International Stadium and the popular Cinema is named after Joshua.
“We are proud of what he has achieved as a son of Sagamu, and we will be happy to do our own little bit to show our appreciation and support for him,” Mafe said.
It is also reported that Joshua’s great grandfather, Omo-Oba Daniel Adebambo Joshua, built the cinema that sits on the road during the 1950s.
