Policemen exchange blows, cause traffic in Abuja (Video)

A video showing two traffic policemen exchanging headbutts and blows yesterday along the Ahmadu Bello Way, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has gone viral.

In the 31-second video, the two policemen – both wearing the traffic jackets – were unsuccessfully separated by three pedestrians, as the brawl caused traffic at the Muhammadu Buhari Junction.

A motorist, identified only as Aishat, had taken the video, shared it on her Facebook page, and lamented that the policemen had blocked the road and caused congestion.

“Traffic wardens are fighting by Muhammadu Buhari Junction along Ahmadu Bello Way. Please, send help there right now. They have caused congestion,” she wrote.

It was not yet clear as of press time the division the policemen were attached to.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Usen Omorodion, could not yet be reached for comment on the incident as of press time.
