Lagos 8th worst megacities for women to live in

Lagos ranks as the eighth worst megacity for women to live in, according to an experts poll by Thomson Reuters Foundation.

It is among 19 megacities—from Tokyo and London to Karachi and Cairo—listed in the survey.

Lagos was sixth worst for “ harmful cultural practices such as female genital mutilation and forced marriages”

It ranked seventh worst for women to have “access to economic resources such as education, land, and financial services such as bank accounts and loans.
