Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not….We all may have experienced depression at some time in our lives. When you have depression, it interferes with your daily life, causing pains for both you and those who care about you. Peter calls them ‘different kinds of troubles’. (1 Peter 1:6.)
The best way to fight through depression is to be grateful to God, at least for the gift of life and sound health. If you take time to visit the hospitals, mortuaries, prisons, etc, then you will realize that indeed God is wonderful to us. Even the common air we breathe every second, some people pay huge money for that…
So when you’re depressed, rouse yourself to seek God as your hope and help, no matter how despairing your circumstances.
For the Lord says: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
Happy Sunday!
