‘Nothing is working’: Serena Williams pleads for baby advice

Serena Williams has pleaded for help dealing with her new baby’s teething problems… Proving motherhood can still be a struggle even if you’re one of the world’s top athletes,  Serena described herself as “so stressed” as she tried to console her baby through the teething process.

She wrote to her ten million followers: “Teething- aka the devil – is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. She cried so much (she never cries) I had to hold her until she fell asleep.

“I’ve tried amber beads… cold towels…. chew on mommies fingers…. homeopathic water (lol on that one) but….

“Nothing is working. It’s breaking my heart. I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I’m so stressed. Help? Anyone??”

Responses from fans ranged from rubbing whiskey on the gums to using baby Orajel to letting the baby gnaw on a milk-bone biscuit for dogs.

Her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, was born in September, and she has begun teething.
