U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed the announcement of his “Fake News Awards” of the Year 2017 to Wednesday, January 2018, citing high interest.
“The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday,” the president wrote on Twitter.
“The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated,” Trump tweeted.
Trump has reportedly often labelled media coverage critical of his administration as “fake news,” accusing leading U.S. media of spreading “fake news” against him during the U.S. presidential election campaign as well as after he became president.
In early December, multiple major U.S. news outlets reported that the White House was planning to remove the current head of the State Department, as his relationship with Trump was “strained.”
Trump denied it as “FAKE NEWS!” on Twitter, and added that “He’s not leaving…we work well together.”
On Dec. 11, Trump dismissed a New York Times report that he watched four to even eight hours of television each day.
“Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch four to eight hours of television a day – Wrong!” Trump Tweeted.
While responding to Trump, Clifford Levy, a deputy managing editor at New York Times, tweeted that the newspaper stood by its story, which was based on 60 interviews.

Most Nigerians here in the US, are predominantly Southerners who had it difficult as a result of the unfavorable Islamic regemes that has clouded the Country fromthe beginning, since Independence 1960. The bloated the Nigerian military and the government with mostly Islamic and uneducated men who care little for the proper way of doing things. Mediocrity became the order. Theft of national treasury became the order of governance, from one military or civilian regime/government to the other. The Nigerian North is predominantly Islamic, while the Nigerian South, Christians. This Buhari Govt. Is pro Islamic and he had stood by his words to favor the 95% including under-aged children and oter northerners that voted for him, over the 5% votes he had from the south. His oposition vote at the UN against JERUSALEM was an Islamic vote. It doesn’t represent the Christian South, who are all for theUnification of Jerusalem, as the indivisible Capital of Israel. If there should be any reprisals against Islamic nations that voted against Jerusalem, that of Nigeria should be handled with the existing divide of NORTHERN MUSLIMS amd Southern Christians, without causing the lose of lives. My advise is that the Allies to ISRAEL be seperated and given a new REPUBLIC OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA. The Christian South are well educated people most of whom are presently refugees in the US, fleeing the persistent persecuting Islamic governments of ‘Cabals’. This way, most of the Nigerians in the US, would happily return home, if they a a fare chance to live a safe, uninterupted and unpersecuted lives in their home Country, devoid of northern mediocrity in government.
