We live in a world where selfishness seems to be the rule of the day, and personal gain the objective of most relationships. One of the most honourable character traits a person can develop is the ability to be loyal.
Loyalty is the ability to put others before you, to stick with them through thick and thin, and to look out for them.
Fake friends are like shadows, they stay close to us while we are in the sunlight, only to leave us immediately as we step into the darkness.
A loyal friend is like a safe shelter; find one and you have found a treasure. Friendship isn’t about who you have known the longest. It’s about who came and never left your side.
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18: 24).
Loyalty is rare; if you find one, keep it!
Blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family.
Happy Sunday!
