Nigeria 2019: Police, lawmakers, Customs, oil merchants, others gang up against Buhari – Presidency

The Presidency Sunday lamented that some set of Nigerians that had fed fat on the nation’s treasury through corrupt means were working hard to dislodge the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, in collaboration with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through the slogan “change the change.”

Those behind the campaign to ensure that President Buhari is sent packing in the 2019 elections according to the presidency include lawmakers, police, customs and immigrations officials, and civil servants.

Others according to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu include importers of diesel and those who had been indicted for various corrupt practices where humongous amount of money was recovered from, adding that the plot was to reverse the achievement so far made by the Buhari’s government.

The presidency noted that some powerful Nigerians who have taken Nigeria and its economy as personal property were also behind the change the change campaign.
