The recent tape histrionics of Amaechi sounds as though he is playing Judas Iscariot in this vanishing moment of Buhari’s regime. Judas Iscariot’s role was instrumental in redeeming humankind because had he (Judas) not betrayed Jesus, the salvation promised in the book of Daniel would not have been actualized and you and I would be dusting our bed spaces in hellfire today. Although some have argued that no Nigerian will go to hellfire again because they have served out their own hellfire here in Nigeria, Nigeria being the hellfire. Wonderful argument. Still, for some of us who have not spent so much time in the Nigerian hellfire, we say thanks to Judas for securing our bed spaces in heaven. Yet some individuals would lambast Judas for betraying Jesus. Judas thank you jare!

Likewise Amaechi’s role now sufficiently fits into that of Judas. It is clear that Amaechi has betrayed Buhari in the leaked tape. His statement in the tape amounts to kissing Buhari to reveal his identity to Nigerians. He betrayed Buhari in other to bring salvation to Nigerians. Yet some individuals would blame Amaechi for betraying Buhari. Amaechi is a hero for opting to act Judas at this crucial moment of Nigeria’s history. While the Gospel of Matthew 26:15 confirmed that Judas betrayed Jesus in exchange for 30 pieces of silver, it is not yet clear whether Amaechi betrayed Buhari in exchange for something. Amaechi thank you.

Just like the days of Jesus, a most crucial moment in the history of the Jews, the moment between death and salvation, are these days in Nigeria. We are at the crossroads of death and Salvation and Amaechi, the Judas of Nigeria, has liberated us by betraying his master. He sold Buhari out. He demystified him. Thank you Amaechi.

However, the Gospel of Luke and John told us that Judas committed suicide after he learned that his betrayal had vanquished Jesus. We will keep watch on Amaechi to know whether he has any suicidal tendency when it will dawn on him that his master is about to be disgraced as a result of his actions. Judas’ place among the 12 apostles was replaced by Matthias after he committed suicide.
