
Singer Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris, accused of aggravated rape and drug violations, a French judicial source told CNN.
Brown is being questioned by police after being accused of raping a woman in a luxury hotel suite in the French capital, sources close to the inquiry told AFP on Tuesday.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, 29, was detained on Monday on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offence. He can be held for a maximum of 48 hours.
Update:
Brown has been released from police custody and he won’t face any charges at this time, the Paris prosecutor’s office said. No charges have been filed against any of them, the prosecutor’s office said, but the investigation is ongoing.
