Former president warns Real Madrid not to sign ‘dangerous’ Paul Pogba from Man Utd

Real Madrid have been warned about signing Paul Pogba this summer by their former president Ramon Calderon, who has described the Frenchman as ‘dangerous’.

The World Cup winner has made it clear he wants to leave current club Manchester United, with Real boss Zinedine Zidane keen to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, after an extended period of unrest at Old Trafford, Calderon has questioned if Pogba is the right kind of character for the Spanish giants. ‘I think it is risky,’ Calderon told SunSport. ‘It’s dangerous because he has proven his behaviour is not the best in some moments for a club like Real Madrid.

‘He wants to be the protagonist many times, he is fighting with the coaches or sometimes with team-mates. That record is a bit dangerous in my opinion.

‘Players can change if the atmosphere is different and they find the right players and coach. In this case, it seems Zidane is keen on him and that could change his character.’

Manchester United are keen to keep hold of the Frenchman and are only willing to listen to offers around the £150m mark, having spent £89m on him in 2016.
